Overview
Sweetness (甘味, amami, lit. "sweet-tasting flavour") can refer to:
- Sweets → Sweet food or candy.
- Sweetener → Seasonings, such as sugar and syrup, that give a sweet taste to food.
- Pleasant taste of things.
In English, the last bullet point is what sweetness mean. In Japanese it can refer to any of those points. Sweetness can also be used to describe one's personality.
On pixiv, it is mainly treated as a tag for illustrations depicting sweet food.
