Story

The Demon Lord Satan who leads the Demon King's army, was on the verge of conquering the land of Ente Isla but was defeated by the rebel army led by the hero Emilia. He was forced to escape through a gate to another world with his loyal general Alsiel to make a comeback. However, that other world was modern Japan.

Magic does not exist in Japan, it is difficult to return to the original world, and the two of them are forced to live as normal humans in an apartment in Sasazuka, Shibuya Ward, Tokyo. To easily integrate into human life, Satan changes his name to "Sadao Maou" and Alsiel changes his name to "Shirou Ashiya". To aim for "conquering Japan", Maou first works hard at a part-time job at a fast food restaurant in front of Hatagaya Station and sets his goal to become a full-time employee instead of a part-timer.

One day, Maou is attacked by a girl on a street corner. She is none other than Emilia, the hero who came to Japan in pursuit of the Demon King. The two are reunited, but in Japan, she is unable to use her powers and finds herself in the same position as the Demon King, so she is forced to live as an ordinary person named "Emi Yusa" working as a telephone appointment maker, all while harboring the secret goal of "defeating the Demon King."
