    Anaru

There are two meanings for the word Anaru :

    1. Anaru (a-naru) is an old Japanese verb. It was originated from the concept of irregular verb of "ra" column or row of the kana syllabary, taking the attributive form of "ari" (which is "aru") adding rumoured attributive form of "nari", which turns into "naru". Hence the word itself. Anaru is basically a short form of the official pronounciation "Annaru" which literally means "I heard that..."

    2. Anaru is the nickname for the character Naruko Anjou from the anime series We Still Don't Know the Name of the Flower We Saw That Day. Her nickname is originated from the short form of her name Anjou Naruko. Hence Anaru, a nickname she used when she was still a child.

...Sadly, some find her nickname to be too good NOT to make fun of... like this :

    Character Outlook

She had a bobbed curly hairstyle, and used to wear thick framed glasses.

She seems to be very concerned about her curly hairstyle.

Her hair used to be dark brownish, though it is assumed that she dyed her hair, which resulted in orange. It is unknown whether she got notified by her teachers for this behaviour or not.

She likes Jinta, but probably not going to confess anytime soon. She used to have jealousy feelings towards Menma.
