Overview

Eru Chitanda is a first year student and the president of the Classics club in the Kamiyama High School. Born from a prestigious family with the reputation of being one of the main rice supplier (or farming industry), she possess the proper, well mannered noble attitude, soft-spoken yet persistent at the same time. She is always seen saying "Watashi, kininarimasu!" which means "I'm curious" or "I'm interested", which shows that she is highly interested in knowledge, and will go through all the way to pester Houtarou Oreki (to the level of annoyance) for answers to every mystery, no matter how small.

She is weak to alcohol, to the point drunken just by eating wine chocolates.
