Ryo Yamada (山田リョウ) is a character in the KING OF PRISM film series.
Caretaker of the boys' dormitory at Edel Rose. Born in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City. In the cast roll of the first film, he was simply referred to as "Caretaker", and in the film he was only referred to as "Yamada" and his full name was not revealed, but his full name was later given, and in the cast roll of the second film, PRIDE the HERO, his name is "Ryo Yamada".
In his younger days, he aspired to become a Prism Star and won the last Prism King Cup to become Prism King, but a scandal that was set up shortly afterwards prevented him from continuing his active career, and he became the caretaker (dorm father) of the Edel Rose boys' dormitory. He can't cook, so Koji Kamihama and Minato Takahashi do most of the cooking.
He is not related to Yamada-san (Yamao Yamada), the caretaker of the dance school in Aurora Dream and Dear My Future. The red-framed glasses he always carries in his breast pocket suggest a connection with that woman who appears in the Pretty Rhythm series and in Idol Time PriPara.
