He attends high school in Kofu City. He is a member of the photography club.
However, his childhood friend Anne Kiriyama and Sakurako Shikishima from the film club, which was about to be closed, join the club, and a new "Cinephoto Research Club" is formed, with Anne becoming its head.
Haruno Akiyama, a professional four-frame manga artist, and Haruno's former classmate Hanako Komada, who she met through the sale of used cameras, also join the Cinephoto Research Club on its photo trips.
