General (一般, ippan) refers to things that are universal, characteristics and thoughts that are common to the whole. It is a commonplace, non-specific state.
It is used in terms such as general public, general knowledge, and general theory. General (将) can also refer to general officer.
General on pixiv
In terms of works submitted to pixiv, works that fall into the following categories are often referred to as general.
- For all ages
- No excessive erotic or grotesque expressions
- Works that do not have strong tastes and can be accepted by everyone
In official pixiv contests, works that do not fall into the above categories may be excluded from judging.
