Don, along with his twin brother Katsu Wada, were once the flawlessly designed taiko drums crafted at a taiko drum factory in Hokuriku region. One day, the Great Tamashii give both taiko drums the souls, and give life to both Don and Katsu.
In order to share the beauty of Taiko with the world, he, along with Katsu, travels to Tokyo and stays at Wada household. Now he is become famous around the town.
In the games, he is the character controlled by player 1, as well as the only playable character in story mode in every games.
He has a monstrous appetite for some reasons.
In Taiko no Tatsujin DS he has his own room in Wada household, and in Meccha Taiko no Tatsujin DS: Adventures of the 7 islands, there is a taiko dojo build above his room.
His face's diameter is 1,6 inches (48 cm), his body material is Zelkova serrata wood.
