Introduction
The Oilers competes in NHL as member of Pacific Division of the Western Conference, they play their home games at Rogers Center. Their major rival are the Calgary Flames as both teams are based in Alberta.
The Oilers played its first season as team of WHA in 1972 and then joined in NHL in 1979 as one of four teams absorbed through the WHA-NHL merger.
The Oilers already won 5 Stanley Cups tied up with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
