L-shaped screen (L字型画面 eru-ji-kei gamen, lit. letter L screen) is a method of giving information on television that gives off the shape of the letter L on the left portions as the broadcast screen is shrunk. Such info shown in the corner are usally when there is a natural disaster, election opening, or emergency during a TV program broadcast.
L-shaped (L字 eru-ji) is sometimes used as a shorter tag on pixiv but artwork of characters doing a L-shaped pose are also shown.
