Professor Jacq is the player's biology teacher in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, and is also the player's homeroom teacher. He also created the Pokédex app on the Rotom phone for the Paldea region. Professor Jacq's first official appearance was in Pokémon Go, at the same time that Gimmighoul was first revealed.
