In the events of "The Binding Blade", Roy was studying in Ostia when the Bern conflict suddenly broke out. Eliwood requests that he return to Pherae to rescue him and Merlinus from bandits who were raiding Pherae Castle. With their initial knights, Marcus, Alen, Lance and Wolt, also accompanied by Bors, the knight of Ostia, they set out to defend Lycia from the invasion of Bern and its king, Zephiel, as well as from Lycian traitors and rebels who allied themselves with him. and try to negotiate peace with Guinivere, the princess of Bern.

If Roy manages to get all of Elibe's legendary weapons, he will head out to stop Idunn, the Demon Dragon. After the war, Roy returns to rebuild Pherae and becomes the next Marquis Pherae.

He also appears in the manga "Hasha no Tsurugi", where he is the co protagonist alongside Al, Gant and Tiene, although the manga is not canon in the games.

It should be noted that he appeared in Super Smash Bros. Melee, before his own game.
