Total or partial downward descent of the uterus toward the outside of the body.
Defined as dislodgement of the uterus from it's natural resting position. Uterine Prolapse can occur in several degrees. Ranging from partially protruding into the vagina. To pushing the entire vaginal canal outside the body and around the uterus, leaving the cervix, and vaginal walls exposed outside the body.
To be considered a uterine prolapse, the uterus must remain attached to the body.
