Re:Zero is a popular light novel/manga series that was later adapted into an anime television series. The 25-episode series first aired on April 4th, 2016, quickly rising to popularity with its "dark" Isekai theme.
Nowadays, characters can get summoned to another world (Isekai) virtually from any situation. The protagonist, Natsuki Subaru was at a convenience store when he was suddenly summoned to another world he has never been to. In this world, he is able to come back to life no matter how many times he actually "dies".
It may sound nice not being able to die, but the psychological effect of "dying" can have, especially when experienced over and over again can be detrimental.
