Illustration
An illustration is a displayed visualization of a drawing, or a painting. In pixiv, this usage is rather obscure, as nearly all submissions already counted as one.
Overview
In Japanese, it is tagged as "イラスト" (Illust.) which is the short form of "イラストレーション" (Illustration).
In the past, the usage of this word is used to explain situations in a more flexible and easier to understand method for the readers. Usually these can be seen in book, newspapers, or ads.
Presently, the word "illustration" is used entirely to describe hand drawn arts and not photographs.
