The USS Kitty Hawk CV-63 was an Aircraft Carrier in service with the US Navy between 1961 and 2009. The carrier took part in the Vietnam War, Operation Southern Watch, the 1994 North Korean Nuclear Crisis, the 2001 Afghanistan conflict, and the 2003 Invasion of Iraq. Between 1998 and 2008, it was forward deployed in Japan as part of the US 7th Fleet.
