Overview
Embryophyte (陸上植物, shokubutsu or uemono) is a taxon that includes many plants, including angiosperms, gymnosperms, ferns, and mosses. It evolved from a lineage of green plants, also called green algae, that are closely related to the charales algae (streptophyte algae). It is synonymous with plants in the narrow sense (not including algae).
