Overview

A synthetic human made by the alchemist Rhinedottir, the mysterious Albedo is the Chief Alchemist and Captain of the Investigation Team of the Knights of Favonius, through a recommendation from the adventurer Alice. With Sucrose as his assistant, he holds an infinite desire to learn about the world of Teyvat, carefully studying every object around him.

Having gained fame for his alchemical talents, Albedo is a reclusive person, spending most of his time in Dragonspine. He isn't fond of most social interactions and thus rarely travels to the city of Mondstadt unless it is to meet up with his fellow alchemists or other acquaintances. Yet he's also shown to at least be fascinated or interested in them in some way, often willingly appearing in events that have some sort of social setting going on and helping out the people around him in any way he can. While he does seem to enjoy company and seeing how people interact in a social setting, he finds relationships stressful and tiresome because of the amount of effort needed to maintain them. This doesn't mean he dislikes the relationships he has with others, he simply struggles with them and can get tired out from trying to keep track of everything to keep the relationship from falling apart. He prefers being around children, especially Klee, seeing her as a younger sister. Klee in turn sees him as an older brother figure.

Fueled by the feeling of enlightenment, he researches about the things that pique his interest, and once the feeling is gone, either by uncovering its truth or otherwise, he loses all interest, left with a bittersweet sensation in his mind. Along with his alchemical genius, Albedo is also a respectable artist. Having initially learned the talent as a way to help with his experiments, it is now a form of relaxation for him. He is Xingqiu's illustrator and regards him as a good author.

As much of a positive demeanor he gives off, the people of Mondstadt do not know anything about his personal life and he is particularly secretive about it towards them. To the Traveler, he does not mind sharing most of his secrets with them due to feeling a kinship of sorts as they are both not of Teyvat, him being an artificial lifeform and the Traveler a visitor from afar. He considers himself to be dangerous due to his knowledge on the Art of Khemia, something which Venti and Dainsleif are well too aware of.

3. Plunging Attack: Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE Damage upon impact.

Albedo creates a Solar Isotoma, which deals AoE Geo Damage on appearance.

Solar Isotoma has the following properties:

1. When enemies within the Solar Isotoma field take Damage, the Solar Isotoma will generate Transient Blossoms which deal AoE Geo Damage. Damage dealt scales off Albedo's DEF.
2. Transient Blossoms can only be generated once every 2 seconds.
3. When a character is located at the locus of the Solar Isotoma, the Solar Isotoma will accumulate Geo power to form a crystallized platform that lifts the character up to a certain height. Only one crystallized platform can exist at a time.
4. Solar Isotoma is considered a Geo construct. Only one Solar Isotoma created by Albedo himself can exist at a time.

If a Solar Isotoma created by Albedo himself is on the field, 7 Fatal Blossoms will be generated in the Solar Isotoma field, bursting violently into bloom and dealing AoE Geo Damage.

Tectonic Tide Damage and Fatal Blossom Damage will not generate Transient Blossoms.

• 1st Ascension Passive: Calcite Might

Transient Blossoms generated by Abiogenesis: Solar Isotoma deal 25% more Damage to enemies whose HP is below 50%.

• 4th Ascension Passive: Homuncular Nature

Using Elemental Burst: Rite of Progeniture: Tectonic Tide increases the Elemental Mastery of nearby party members by 125 for 10 seconds.

• Utility Passive: Flash of Genius

When Albedo crafts Weapon Ascension Materials, he has a 10% chance to receive double the product.

• Sucrose

Sucrose? I think I more or less understand why she is so dedicated to her research in bio-alchemy... Either way, I'm happy to see her succeed more and more in her endeavors.

Working with Sucrose on alchemy research is quite pleasant, but she has some... stubborn qualities in regards to certain aspects unrelated to research. For example, I have told her numerous times to just call me "Albedo" since we are hardly generations apart, but she insists on addressing me in an excessively formal manner. *sigh* ...Whatever she prefers, I guess.

• Klee

Indeed, I view Klee as my younger sister. Whenever she gets herself into some explosive sort of trouble, I can only console myself with the fact that her current destructiveness is nothing compared to that of Miss Alice.

• Jean

Jean? She has served exceptionally well as Acting Grand Master, one can even say she is more reliable than Grand Master Varka. Perhaps in our hearts, we all eagerly await the day she can become the official Grand Master herself.

• Lisa

Lisa? I always am impressed by the valuable perspectives she brings to discussions. But is a person with her talents satisfied with such a basic occupation as librarian? There must be some hidden reason for this.

• Xingqiu

Oh, Xingqiu? I find his written works quite interesting. The Yae Publishing House in Inazuma has been asking that I cooperate with a different author for greater royalties. Hmph, do I seem the type to be swayed by a few extra Mora?

• Barbara

Barbara? She's a very earnest Deaconess. I once had the opportunity to sketch her a simple portrait... What happened to the sketch? Ah yes... Albert offered to purchase it, but I rejected his bid and gave it to the Acting Grand Master. Social relations... really require a lot of effort.
