Story Background

Chaos Marie is the main antagonist of the event "The End of the Days of Old". A year later, she was made a 5-star playable Healer character.

The queen, who was supposed to bear the hatred of the people and be executed, turned into a Chaos Teller because of her very last wish, which was to be loved by her own people. She has become a presence that fascinates everybody, and now uses her powers give them all love. Without realizing this shall lead to the part of destruction...

Bread, Candies and Low Carbohydrate I

Thanks to Chaos Marie's abilities, the Floral City was filled with an overflowing amount of food. As a result, a serious problem became widespread among the citizens; Obesity. One day, a man visits the capital. His name is Michael Nostradamus. A great prophet, and an unusually famous doctor.

A must-see report is received by Chaos Marie in the Tuileries Palace. It is said that a mysterious doctor named Nostradamus is spreading an heretical teaching called "diet" among the citizens of the Floral City. Chaos Marie, who believes Nostradamus' actions will become an obstacle to the "revolution", decides to summon him to the palace.

Nostradamus is summoned to the palace by Chaos Marie. He is criticized by Chaos Marie for promoting this movement called "diet" among the citizens. At that moment, a prophecy came down to Nostradamus. His words leave Chaos Marie extremely shocked.

• Symbol Collection Event "The End of the Days of Old" (First appearance)

A flashback shows a young Chaos Marie wandering around the Floral City, where she almost gets assaulted by a bunch of thugs, but is saved by Charles-Henri Sanson.

The party visits a somewhat familiar Story Zone, where they discover a mysterious girl who is (apparently) tormenting people. Her true identity is that of Marie Antoinette, who has turned into a Chaos Teller... Now she is Chaos Marie. Everybody calls her "Princess Marie", which she acknowledges is not correct (since she is still a queen) but rolls with the nickname anyway. The party engages in battle with Chaos Marie, who seems initially confused. After being defeated however, the townsfolk show hostility towards them, to the point of being on the verge of rioting, though Chaos Marie tries to calm them down. The party flees with the help of Cuvelier.

Cuvelier explains that the wish of Chaos Marie is to be loved by her people, and return that love in kind. She used her Chaos Teller powers to create and endless supply of food and save the people from hunger and poverty. The townsfolk are obssessed with her. However, this is no mind control, the Parisians feel genuine love and gratitude for her. A fact that leaves the party shocked.

The actions of Chaos Marie, who became a Chaos Teller out of compassion, make Revol and Elena concerned about returning the Story Zone to its original state. However, when they see the people drowning in Chaos Marie's endless charity and losing the will to work, they realize things cannot continue like this.

The party infiltrates the Tuileries Palace. Elena gets lost, wanders into the treasure vault, and finds a sinister-looking sword. Chaos Marie shows up, now with her smile gone, and attacks Elena. Revol and his friends show up just in the nick of time. They fight Chaos Marie again, and she escapes.

However, the mysterious sword that was in the treasure vault is now gone. The party thinks that this might be a clue of some kind.

Cuvelier informs them that the sword in the treasure vault is the "Sword of the God of Death" an entity who inflicts just that on this Story Zone's characters. Believing that Chaos Marie stole the Sword of the Grim Reaper in order to erase her own fated death, the party searches for the swords' owner, Monsieur de Paris... They decide to look for Charles-Henri Sanson.

In order to prevent the party from disturbing her plans, she assembles an elite of some of France's most notorious figures: Phantom, Gilles de Rais, Antonio Salieri, and Amadeus Mozart. They get defeated by the party with relative ease.

The party infiltrates the Bastille Prison to confront confronts Chaos Marie for the last time. However, George, who went to retrieve the Sword of the Death God, is captured and the sword is about to get destroyed. But right then, Arsène Lupin the phantom thief, shows up from a hundred years in the future. George is saved by him and the Sword of the Death God is also recovered. And the final battle with an enraged Chaos Marie begins.

The party defeats Chaos Marie. She ask if she will be wasted because she is not needed in this world, and Revol replies "No". As the old people become the soil, new people will sprout and lead to the next era. Turns out this is the answer Chaos Marie was looking for. Chaos Marie hands over the Symbol. And so, the Story Zone is restored and the turmoil is brought to an end.

• Symbol Collection Event "Deep Within the Eyes of a Mechanical Doll" (Alluded)

Cuvelier explains that most Chaos Tellers simply desire to fulfill their own wishes and missions, resulting in a change of appearance. Marie Antoinette did this by turning herself into a child. This contrasts with Pinocchio who, rather than turning into a human as he always wanted, became a gargantuan robot in a twisted attempt to meet Geppetto's expectations.

• Main Story "Viehmann Story Zone"

Chaos Marie and Chaos Aurora are among the many Chaos Tellers raiding the temple, with the Musicians of Bremen trying to hold them off. They both get surprised when Hahn reveals he is a boy. Chaos Aurora expresses envy at Hahn for apparently having much more shapely legs than her, though Chaos Marie tries to comfort her by saying her "fat legs have their fan", including Marie herself. Aurora can only react in embarrassment.

The party arrives, prompting the duo to call a third partner for help, Chaos Pinocchio, the giant robot. The three of them get defeated, and Dorothea returns them to their original selves.
