Copyrighted personification (鉄道擬人化, hanken gijinka ) refers to the personification of characters appearing in copyrighted works (original/offical works).
Generally, they are treated as derivative works or fan art, but there are many precedents of official personification. Depending on the degree, officials are sometimes talked about as being sick.
One of the pleasures of derivative works is to delve into the characteristics of the original, or to select characters who have little to do in the first place, and this is alive and well in anthropomorphic works.
So, those who lament, "I can't find any works that focus on ___" you may be able to find your favorite works if you broaden your search to personification works.
