The Aichi D3A Val (Type 99 Carrier Bomber) is a Japanese Carrier-borne Dive bomber used during World War II by the IJN and IJAAF. The Val was the first Japanese aircraft to bomb targets in World War II at Pearl Harbor and have sunk more ships than any other Axis aircraft in the War. The Val also saw action at the Battles of Coral Sea, Midway, Eastern Solomons and Santa Cruz.
