Overview
The Chengdu J-7 Fishbed/Fishcan is a copy of the MiG-21 built originally under license in the PRC. The aircraft however was developed separately (based on the MiG-21F-13 variant) due to the strain between the Soviet Union and PRC. Several different versions have been built over the years and as a result it has two NATO code names. It is used by the PLAAF, PLANAF, KPAF, Iran and Myanmar.
