Luce (meaning "light" in Italian) is a symbol of the Catholic faith, wears a yellow rain jacket, a symbol of the Vatican City flag, and a pilgrim's staff, representing her journey towards eternity. She wears mud-stained boots, representing a long and difficult journey. Her eyes, shaped like scallop shells, symbolize hope and the heart. She also wears a rosary. Simone Legno hopes Luce can represent the sentiments that resonate with younger generations.

Following the unveil of the mascot, it quickly spawned internet memes due to the character's looks that resemble the design of typical anime characters.
