The Scud missile is a family of originally Soviet built tactical ballistic missiles. The Scud has been reverse engineered and built by North Korea as the Hwasong-5, Hwasong-6, Hwasong-7 and Hwasong-9. Iraq and Iran have also produced domestic versions of the Scud. The Scud is best remembered for its use in the Iraq-Iran War and the Gulf War.
