Overview編集

Shukusei!! Loli Kami Requiem☆ (粛聖!!ロリ神レクイエム☆ lit. "Retribution!! Loli God Requiem") is an original song by Indie Virtual Youtuber Ui Shigure, with music and backing by IOSYS.

The song was initially released on May 25th, 2022 as part of Ui's first solo album. Over a year later on September 10th, 2023, it got an animated music video and was posted on YouTube on Ui's official channel. The animation work was done by gagame. The music video features an aged down version of Ui dancing seamlessly and holding a crime prevention buzzer in a sinister fashion.

The music video became the fastest Vtuber video to hit ten million views on YouTube, surpassing Houshou Marine's record Bishoujo Muzai♡Pirates of 39 days.

The song was intended to be featured on NHK, but declined to air it due to the lyrics of the song.

Controversy編集

Since the release of the music video, the song became viral on social media due to the theme surrounding. Some of the lyrics in the video contain lolita references which includes the word "lolicon" in it.

However, the majority of these voices are likely people with no familiarity of the internet; being unable to differentiate fiction — or rather to grift about it nonsensically.

In one of Ui's conversation stream, the music video was created as an in-joke to Ui's community.
