Overview
Terapagos is the name of the Pokémon that appears in the Pokémon series. It first appeared in the Pokémon Scarlet/Violet's DLC Expansion titled The Indigo Disk.
According to the PokéDex, Terapagos is thought to have lived in ancient Paldea until it became caught in seismic shifts and went extinct. This Pokemon protects itself by transforming energy into hard crystals. This Pokemon is the source of the Terastal phenomenon.
Terastal Form
Terapagos is a Pokémon that can assume a Terastal Form. The PokéDex states that Terapagos uses Terastal energy generated within its body to form crystals on its exterior. These crystals form a sturdy shell that encases Terapagos.
In Pokemon battles, Terastal Form Terapagos' ability has changed to Tera Shell. With this ability, any damage-dealing moves that hit Terastal Form Terapagos when its HP is full will be rendered "not very effective".
Stellar Form
Stellar Form is the culminating form of Terapagos. According to the PokéDex, this form is thought to cause Terapagos's Terastal energy to become abnormally amplified. There are rumors that this form resembles what is mentioned in the Scarlet Book and Violet Book under the heading "A ■isk P■é■n?"
Terapagos' signature ability is "Terraform Zero," which negates all effects of weather and terrain. In its Stellar Form, Terapagos can use its signature move, "Tera Starstorm," which damages all opponents.
In the anime
Terapagos is a key Pokémon that became the center of the storyline of the 2023 Pokémon anime series. It emerged from a pendant Liko's grandmother, Diana, gave it to her.
A prime target of the villainous organization called Explorers, Liko's main goal is to protect Terapagos by all means with the help of Roy, Dot, and the rest of the Rising Volt Tacklers as they search for the mythical paradise called Laqua.
