The Tiger I, or Panzerkampfwagen VI, was a German heavy tank used during WW2.
The Tiger appeared in late 1942 and began operational duty in the Soviet Union and North Africa. After its early actions, the tank became known among the Allies and was feared by Allied soldiers because of its invincibility.
Today, the Tiger is recognized as one of the most iconic tanks of World War II.
