It was developed by the Belarusian company Wargaming.net (now headquartered in the Republic of Cyprus). It is a competitive game of warships. Admission is free, but minors must have parental permission.
Abbreviated as WoWS.
Ships from around the time of the Russo-Japanese War to the beginning of the Cold War (1904-1955) after the end of World War II are featured, and some ships that ended in the design phase are also implemented.
The following games currently exist
- World of Warships
Standard WoWS, developed for PC, with mods available. To use the gamepad, you need to convert the button input to keyboard input via Steam, etc.
- World of Warships Public Test
Open test version of WoWS for PC. It will be released three times per official version for about five days, so that you can enjoy the next update as soon as possible. If you participate, you can get the rewards that you can receive in the official version, including Daflon. Of course, data cannot be carried over to the official version.
- World of Warships Blitz
A smaller and lighter version of WoWS for smartphones (Android and iOS ), with a maximum of 7vs7 and different gameplay, such as the need to manually aim and fire secondary guns, and a unique system for controlling aircraft carriers.
- World of Warships: Legends
Similar to the standard WoWS, but optimized for home consoles, World of Warships: Legends is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5, Android, and iOS. With a maximum of 9 vs. 9, the strategy you take will be a bit different here too.
The battle modes are.
- Co-op" versus NPCs
- Random" versus players
- Operation" an NPC versus NPC battle in which players challenge various scenarios in cooperation with their allies.
- Ranked battles" in which players compete for ranks by winning *Only available for a limited time
- Clan wars" in which clans compete against each other *Only available for a limited time; clan membership is required.
- Struggle" in which a small number of elite compete against each other *Only available for a limited time
- Seasonal events" You can choose from seven types of events *Only available for a limited time
Battles are 12-on-12 for up to 30 minutes, and squadrons can have up to three participants.
There are Teir and ship type restrictions for "Operation," "Ranked Battle," "Clan Battle," "Struggle," and event battles.
Only in Operation, squadrons can be formed with a maximum of seven players.
