Overview
A human (ヒト) are mammals of the animal kingdom, phylum chordata, subphylum vertebrata, phylum mammalia, higher primates, catarrhini, and apes. There is only one extant species, homo sapiens. They are omnivorous, but there are some individuals that consume only plant foods.
Their most distinctive features are that they have a language center in their brain, highly developed linguistic communication, and an upright bipedal gait (birds and kangaroos are bipedal but do not have an upright spine and are not "upright" bipedal). The paws, completely freed from supporting the body, became hands and developed the use of tools.
