Overview
Search obstruction is the act of embedding a large number of hit words in a page that are not directly related to the page on the Internet, so that any search term will appear at the top of the search results.

pixiv tags and captions
Specifically, it refers to the act of intentionally adding fixed tags (tags added by contributors), titles, and captions that are not directly related to the work but are likely to generate a large number of searches, in order to have your work seen by many people. From the perspective of the searcher, it is synonymous with trolling, since the search results will show something that has nothing to do with the work that the searcher is originally looking for.
For example, attaching an original tag to a derivative or original work is considered search obstruction for users searching for primary or original original works. The reverse also exists: attaching a copyright work tag to a work in the original or creative category. In particular, the use of pixiv fantasia or other theme project tags for derivative works of copyrighted works is considered a lack of understanding of the purpose of the theme project, and should never be done. In addition, adding impression tags to a theme project that uses aggregate tags is also a cause of trouble and should not be done. This is because there is a possibility of having your account frozen as a malicious user.

There are also clear cases of search obstruction in the submission of works.

Of course, submitting works is not a bad thing in itself. It is also very good to contribute a lot of illustrations in order to popularize a work that is not well known.
However, if the same user continuously submits works in a short period of time, a corner of the search results page will be occupied by a large number of works by the same user, and other people's new and past works will be quickly swept away.
This will result in the act of submitting itself being linked to search obstruction.
In order to avoid this, the following considerations should be taken into account as much as possible
- Do not keep submitting your work for a short period of time, and keep an eye on the pace of other contributors. In the worst cases, we have seen works by the same submitter posted every few minutes.

If a large number of works submitted individually occupy a corner of the search results, after a certain period of time has elapsed, the works should be re-submitted as a group as "assortment/summary" and the works submitted individually should be deleted. In this case, notice this in the summary, and if you are hesitant to delete it, delete all the tags you have set, or make the work private or limited public and exclude it from the search results.
- Don't add tags that are not related to the work. This will result in a huge amount of illustrations being leaked into the search results of unrelated works, and may be considered a clear act of sabotage to gain access. In addition, there have been cases in which overseas artists have "copied and pasted tags from other works, resulting in the tagging of completely unrelated works, character names, or tags with users" (see the section entitled "The author is an overseas user"), and in such cases it is advisable to gently caution warning in such cases.

- Take care so that certain tags added to works that are posted frequently can be excluded from negative searches. It is desirable to include at least one unique tag that can be used for negative search. If the tag field is filled with a tag that is used significantly more frequently, such as the name of a work or a character, the picture you wish to exclude will appear in the search results of another tag, making a pinpoint negative search virtually meaningless. In addition, if the tags are filled with proper nouns, even if you want to minus-search only a specific work, other works will also be minus-searched along the way, which significantly reduces the convenience of the search.
If you are tagged as a search obstructionist
First, ask the person who pointed out the tag (if the tag was added by someone else, the author will know "who added the tag") "what points constitute search obstruction," and if they give a satisfactory explanation, accept it seriously and delete the caption, fixed tag, etc. that are obstructing search.
If you are not convinced, but it is pointed out to you that the explanation is clearly interfering with search, you should delete the description, fixed tags, etc.
However, if someone tries to force you to call something that is clearly not obstructing a search as obstructing a search, such as making an accusation or being stingy, you should report it to the administrator.
Blocking should also be considered.
