The "HENTAI" Prince and the Stony Cat. (変態王子と笑わない猫。, Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko) is a light novel written by Sagara Sou, and character illustrations drawn and designed by Kantoku.
The novel has won the 6th MF Bunko K Light Novel Rookie Excellence Award.
Story
Youto Yokodera, a pervert who thinks of nothing but girls, is a student who joins the track field club in order to peek on girls in their swimsuits whenever he could ever get the chance, but his perverted actions ended up mistaken by many as doing good deeds that show his positive performance in the club. When he was actually nominated by his senior, Tetsugane no Ou to be his replacement as the president of the track field club, he couldn't bring himself to tell the real reason of him joining the club and ended up holding a public face. Even though he thought of refusing it, he couldn't bring it up to say it.
One day, he heard of a urban legend of a cat statue who does not laugh, which is said to have the ability to solve anyone's worldly desires from his childhood, yet another pervert friend, Ponta. When Youto asked him for details, Ponta explains that the statue will somehow transfer one's whatever unnecessary desire to the ones who actually need it, with offerings.
Youto, who is half-convinced, goes to the location where the cat statue is located to try his luck. From there, he met Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi, which according to her, she also has this certain unnecessary "real voice" that she would like to transfer away from her. After praying with Tsukiko,the offerings disappeared, along with his public face attitude, and Tsukiko's real voice; in other words, expression went disappeared.
After the offerings, Youto became somewhat of an over-straight person who speaks his thoughts without holding back, and in turn got labelled as a "Perverted Prince" due to his mistake. Things did not change for the better for Tsukiko as well, so, together with Tsukiko, the both decided to work together to find back all the things that are lost.
After running around searching for a way to cure the situation, they decided to go back to the place and met Azusa Azuki, who keeps mentioning about "public face" and found out that the choker that is attached on the girl looks exactly the same as the belt that Youto offered himself to the cat statue before the pray..
