Madhouse (マッドハウス, Maddohausu), stylized as MADHOUSE, is a anime production company established on October 17, 1972. Headquartered in Asagaya, Suginami, Tokyo, then Ogikubo, then Honmachi, Nakano, Tokyo.
Masao Maruyama, Akio Sugino, Osamu Dezaki, Rintaro, Yoshiaki Kawajiri, and others became independent from the former Mushi Production and founded the company as a limited liability company.
