Himeno (姫野, Himeno) was a skilled devil hunter belonging to the Public Safety Devil Hunter Special Division 4 and had Aki Hayakawa as her devil hunter partner.
Appearance
She is a beautiful woman with black hair and one eye and an eye patch on the right.
She has a rather glamorous body that can be recognized even from her suit.
Personality
As is typical of devil hunters, she is calm and collected in her words and actions, but she also has a mischievous sense of humor and is often teasing with both men and women. When she drinks, she becomes even more intense.
At a drinking party to welcome Denji and other newcomers to the company, she demonstrated her wild drinking behavior, leaving Denji and the readers traumatized. She later took Denji to her house and tried to have sexual intercourse with him, but Denji was dissuaded and the attempt ended in vain.
She is an adult who loves to smoke, drinks heavily, and makes fun of others (according to her, "making fun of boys is the funniest thing I can do"), but she has long experience as a devil hunter and is highly skilled in combat and crisis detection.
In the manga version, during his first mission with Aki, she was drunk after drinking six 500-milliliter bottles of beer at the scene as a party. She later said that he did not remember it, but she showed her deductions about the rules of the room where the devils come.
She is rather a good person, but she also shows her mature side by checking to see if Denji has been drinking at a drinking party and taking away a pack of cigarettes that she gave to Aki when they first became buddies (when she found out he was underage).
Despite her outwardly nonchalant approach to her work, she is also very compassionate, visiting the graves of her buddies who have died in the past.
Her home is a high-rise apartment in Tokyo, and her room is tidy. She seems to live a moderately stylish life, eating breakfast on a terrace with houseplants while enjoying the breeze. She also has a younger sister in the family.
Contracted Devils
Ghost Devil
The Ghost Devil lends their invisible and physically unobstructable arms to their contractors.
The arm is unusually long and powerful, and can easily constrain a person by tightening that person's joints.
The arm borrowed under the contract is invisible, but it is said to be able to be made visible.
The main body of the Ghost Devil appears to be visible, but it is unclear if it is visible or if it is incapable of becoming invisible in the first place.
The face of the main body has both eyes and mouth sewn shut, giving the appearance of a full smile. It usually uses its mouth on the palm of its arm to talk.
Perhaps this is because the fear of ghosts can only be created if one believes in psychic phenomena in the first place, or perhaps it is because one cannot recognize those who do not fear one (instead of having eyes, one sees the fear of the other).
It is said that the cost is relatively light if the arm is used to the extent that it is used.
By Himeno letting the devil to eat her right eye, Himeno could use the Ghost Devil's arm at any time without further cost.
Since the bandage over her right eye had not been removed when Aki came in as a newcomer, it is believed that the time when she contracted with the Ghost Devil was three years before the start of the main story.
