Overview
A desktop (デスクトップ, desukutoppu) is the first screen that appears when you start a session on a computer. It consists of a background with a UI that works like desk, icons such as shortcuts and folders, toolbars, gadgets, and so on. Frequently accessed items can be freely placed by drag-and-drop, etc., but the look and feel of the OS itself is not open to much change.
