Multi-role fighter aircraft built by Grumman for the US Navy.

The Grumman F9F Panther is a multi-role fighter built by Grumman in the late 1940s. This aircraft conducted the first carrier jet strike in history on 3 July 1950 and later became the first jet aircraft to shoot down another jet aircraft when an F9F shot down a MiG-15.
