Overview
Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere began as serial light novel series run in Dengeki Bunko Magazine in 2008. As of December 10, 2011, ten compilation volumes covering four separate arcs have been published. The setting for this series is set in the distant future when Japan has been conquered by other countries and divided up into several feudal territories.
In 2011, it was adapted into an anime television series by Sunrise. A second season has been announced to air in 2012. Aside from the anime adaption, a manga adaption begin serializing in the 10/2011 issue (August 27, 2011) of ASCII Media Works manga magazine, "Dengeki Daioh".
