PSYCHO-PASS

PSYCHO-PASS (Tag name: PSYCHO-PASS) is an original Japanese anime series, animated by Production I.G, with script written by Gen Urobuchi and character designs by Akira Amano

Overview

The anime is scheduled to air on Fuji TV's Noitamina programme block starting October 2012, with 22 episodes planned. The staff of the show consists of Naoyoshi Shiotani as the director, while Gen Urobuchi as the script writer and Akira Amano as the original character designer.


The opening theme will be performed by Rin Toshite Shigure, with the title "abnormalize". On September 18, EGOIST has announced that they will be performing the ending theme for the show, "Namae no nai Kaibutsu (名前のない怪物; Monster with no name)".


Synopsis

In the world of Psycho-Pass, there exist a measurement device called the Psycho-Pass, that allows emotions, desires within humans to be recorded and managed by the authorities in order to determine and control the parameter of crime rates, which allow the authorities to have better judgement on crimes and bring criminals to justice.


Since the existence of Psycho-Pass, a group of officers has been estalished bby the Public Bureau Criminal Investigation Department Ministry of Welfare, in order to perform their police duties to maintain the peace of society.
