The USAF 35th Fighter Wing (35th FW) is a USAF Wing based at Misawa Air Base in Northern Japan. The Wing took over the role that the 432nd FW had done since 1987 when in 1994, the 35th FW was reassigned to Japan. The 35th FW thus would control the 13th FS and 14th FS which were now about to operate the F-16CJ/DJ Block 50 Fighting Falcon. The tail code is WW, although it initially inherited the older MJ tail code from the 432nd FW in 1994.
