The Airbus A330 is a two engine wide-body airliner built by Airbus. The A330 was built in tandem with the A340 in the early 1990s and both had the same fuselage and cockpit design, the difference being in the engine amount and types. Due to the relaxation of ETOPS regulations, twin engined aircraft like the A330 won over four engine like the A340 and 747-400 due to fuel economy.
