The Mitsubishi A6M Zero (Mitsubishi Navy Type 0 carrier fighter), nicknamed the 'Reisen' by its pilots and officially codenamed 'Zeke' by the Allies; is a Japanese fighter aircraft. It was notable for it's service during the early years of World War II, being the most capable carrier fighter built until the introduction of the F6F Hellcat in 1943.
