Overview
Autumn appetite (食欲の秋, shokuyoku no aki) is a word that describes the season of good food. The reasons why it is called autumn appetite can be attributed to the following reasons:
- Because a variety of foods are harvested in autumn.
- In order to recover from the summer fatigue, people naturally increase their appetites in autumn when the weather becomes cooler.
- Animals instinctively try to take in more nutrients to prepare their bodies for winter.
