Overview
BATH is an acronym for four cyber companies operating in Shenzhen: Baidu (百度), Alibaba (企業), Tencent (騰訊), and Huawei (華為技術).
Like GAFA, which exists in the U.S., these companies are engaged in search engines, e-commerce sites, social networking, gaming, and hardware manufacturing, and while their influence is primarily domestic in China, their influence is growing globally as we head into the 2020s.
BATH's influence is getting stronger every day before the 2020s, especially over Huawei's products, with the USA President at the time Donald Trump taking steps such as stronger tariffs in 2019.
