Overview編集

Foreign animation refers to animated works from a foreign area (depending where you live). This article will talk about animation made outside Japan, known as foreign anime or overseas anime (海外アニメ, kaigai anime) among people there. These animated works are known as anime (アニメ) because anime itself is an abbreviation for animation (アニメーション).

As in Japan, many of them are based on localized manga (American comics, etc.).

Some are based on the same original works as those that have been animated in Japan (e.g., Moomin).

Of course, there are also original animated works, which are sometimes remade in Japan (e.g., Lilo & Stitch into Stitch!).

Conversely, there are also cases where Japanese works are remade overseas (e.g., Ultraman: The Adventure Begins).

In case you are interested, you may be able to buy DVDs on amazon in that country except Korea, but it is no longer the age of using such software as DVDs, and even if you can get information, it will not be the latest thing. It is the same as in Japan, where information is available but not up-to-date at the moment.

And then there is the question of whether foreigners should be allowed to buy such a thing if it was never localized...but if there is nothing left to watch in Japan, it is better to act immediately. Otherwise, you will not be able to watch it.
