Overview
Kaidan Restaurant (怪談レストラン, Kaidan Resutoran) is a series of Japanese children's literature, an omnibus with horror as its theme, published by Doshinsha.
It is edited by Miyoko Matsutani, with illustrations by Yoshikazu Takai and Kumiko Katō.
The book is characterized by a style that draws the reader into its world building by calling the book a restaurant and a kaidan (thriller) as a dish. While each title has its own theme, the stories that have nothing to do with the title are often mixed in, which may be a device to keep readers interested.
