Overview
Monthly Shonen Gangan (月刊少年ガンガン gekkan shōnen gangan) is a monthly manga anthology that launched in March 1991, it still publishes many serialized manga. For a time (April 1996 to March 1998), the magazine was published twice a month and the "monthly" was dropped from the name. Two years later, the magazine returned to monthly publication, but the two issues from the twice-monthly period were combined into a single volume, resulting in a "super extra-large issue" with over 1,000 pages.
