The Kawanishi N1K2-J Shiden-Kai (Known by the allies as the 'George') was an improved version of the N1K1-J Shiden. The Shiden-Kai and the Shiden were both based off the N1K1 floatplane. Among the operators of the Shiden-Kai in the Imperial Japanese Navy were the elite 343rd Naval Air Group.
