Naoko Takeuchi (武内 直子, Takeuchi Naoko) is a Japanese manga artist born March 15, 1967 in Kofu, Yamanashi Prefecture. She is known as being the author of the national girls' manga Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon.
Graduated from Kyoritsu College of Pharmacy, she is a licensed pharmacist and clinical laboratory technician.
She was born and raised in a very wealthy family (her family owned a jewelry store), and she had a Porsche as her favorite car when Sailor Moon first began to be serialized.
