Similarities :
1. Created by an archon for the purpose of replacing their creators but weren’t able to fulfill their roles due to external factors.
a. Ei found him shedding tears in his sleep
• He was originally born to be a vessel for a "heart."But he shed tears in his dreams.
• His creator observed thus:
• He was too fragile, whether it be as a human or as a tool.
b. Nahida was shunned and cast aside upon birth because the sages could not find in her the same level of wisdom from Rukkhadevata, and thus was deemed inferior.
2. Nahida was born from the purest branch of the Irminsul tree and it is implied from her allegory about Scaramouche’s past that he may have been crafted from Irminsul (white tree).
"But the monster soon found solace when another came to live among the foxes who was not their kin: a kitten, carved from the wood of a white tree, who had been abandoned by the humans."
3. Both had very few followers whom they cherish to the point of doing everything in their power to protect or save them (Nahida saving Dunyarzad’s weak consciousness within Nilou’s dream; Scaramouche watching over Haypasia’s body and unleashing lightning to keep her pursuers away).
4. They both experienced a form of betrayal (Nahida with the sages; Scaramouche with Ei and Dottore).
5. They both had someone sickly associated with them (Dunyarzad and the nameless child).
Contrast
1. Despite their painful past regarding betrayal, Nahida still held concern for her people and even with her wisdom, she felt insecure that she cannot match up to Rukkhadevata’s achievements. Scaramouche, on the other hand, became unable to trust anyone, even deeming himself above any human.
2. Brushing up on the fifth point from their similarities, although they both had someone sickly associated with them, Nahida was successful in saving Dunyarzad (from Nilou’s dream and the eradication of Eleazar) while Scaramouche was unsuccessful.
3. Nahida is someone who thinks through her decisions, even having backup plans. Scaramouche didn’t have a plan on what to do with his godhood once he achieved it.
4. Nahida admires her creator while Scaramouche resents his.
5. She likes sweets while Scaramouche dislikes it, preferring bitter flavors
6. Nahida’s curiosity leads her to have a fascination for humans and all the things that happen to them, whereas Scaramouche, prior to being the Wanderer, dislikes humans because of his experiences with them.
(Nahida: He's still in a coma. I've hidden him like how one would hide a feather.)
Interactions
Scaramouche, or known as The Balladeer met Nahida for the first time in 3.2 during the fight with Shouki no Kami.
