Overview
A monk in a village happened to meet Frieren's party when they visited his village. He once wanted to become an adventurer to go on a meaningful adventure with his friend, but because he wanted to think about his older brother alone in his hometown, he gave up that dream. He accepted Frieren's invitation to become her teammate so he could continue his dream, as well as find his old friend whom he had refused to become an adventurer with.
Although he is a good priest, he has bad habits such as drinking alcohol, gambling, cigarettes, and especially older women. Frieren was proud to tell Sein that she was the oldest woman he could meet in his life, but Sein's view was that older women should be mature, attractive women, while Frieren had none of those basic things.
