Overview
Sweet (甘い, amai / スイーツ, suītsu) has many meanings, but on pixiv it is mainly used for the following purposes.
- A tag attached to illustrations of food or drinks that evoke a sweet taste.
- Meaning "脇が甘い" (needs translation) or "simple". Sometimes described as lukewarm.
- This tag is used for illustrations or novels that depict a happy couple who seem to be getting along well.
- A tag given to illustrations depicting a woman with a kind and lovely atmosphere.
The English translation of the word has other meanings besides "sweet" such as "gentle," "romantic," "lovely," and "adorable'. Therefore, it is assumed that foreign contributors add the tag "sweet" to illustrations depicting women. In Japan, there is also the tag strawberry flavor.
